The twins snuggled into each other after their mother thought of the lifesaving idea
A premature baby pulled through after her twin sister was placed
beside her in hospital, Metro reports. According to the report, Lily and
Summer Cobbing were born three months early in Adelaide, Australia but
while Summer weighed 840 grams, her twin sister was half that size at
390 grams.
However, it was obvious she might not pull through and the mother
Michelle Roberts-Cobbing was preparing for the worst in June 2010 when
an idea which later became lifesaving popped up in her head. She put the
baby girls next to each other (just like they were in the womb).
The sweet little sisters are now doing very well
‘Lily snuggled into Summer and Summer snuggled into Lily,’ Mrs Roberts-Cobbing told Daily Mail Australia.
She added: ‘Lily was tiny, tiny. Her ears were like little
dried apricots, her tummy was so see through you could see her organs
and her eyes were still shut for a few more weeks.’
Eventually Lily got healthier and both girls were at home eight months after being born.
The twins are now five years old and are doing well.
‘Summer is dramatic and Lily is very laid back and goes with the flow
‘They love all the little girlie things and Lily loves Star Wars and Chewbacca.’
‘We’re just so proud of them.’ ,’Mrs Roberts-Cobbing added.
