It
is yet a mystery what could have pushed a top company director to
brutally stab his pregnant colleague in the stomach nearly killing her.

A company director who shocked many by brutally attacking a
pregnant colleague stabbing her many times in the stomach. He appeared
in court today accused of trying to kill a pregnant woman and her unborn
child by stabbing her repeatedly in the stomach.
According to Dailymail, Babur Karamat Raja, 41, is charged with
attempting to murder the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons,
by stabbing her 'multiple times' and trying to slash her throat.
The woman was already 36 weeks pregnant when she was attacked in
broad-daylight in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, at 3pm on Friday,
March 4.
She was rushed to the hospital where surgeons successfully delivered her baby girl by emergency caesarean section.
Raja, who was wearing a black jumper, appeared via video link at Birmingham Crown Court for a short hearing this morning.
He is charged with attempted child destruction, possession of a
knife in a public place and attempted murder. He is also charged with
assaulting John Mitchell and Anthony Smith.
Prosecutor Benjamin Aina QC said: 'It is the Crown's view that [the victim being in court] may help with the healing process.'
The hearing was adjourned until May 23 while the prosecution wait for the defence to submit psychiatric reports.
Adjourning the case, Judge Mark Wall QC set a potential trial date for August 30 this year
He said: 'Mr Raja that concludes the hearing for today, the next hearing will be on May 23.
